About Scott and Heidi Temple, North Wind Computer & Design

North Wind Computer and Design is a New Hampshire based company owned and operated by husband and
wife team Scott and Heidi Temple.

About Scott Temple
Scott Nagle took interest in computers at the early age of 9 back in 1981. The first computer he used was a
Radio Shack/Tandy TRS-80 with 0.004 megabytes of memory!  Back then, if you wanted a program to change
the color of your screen, balance your checkbook, or make a sound, you had to write a program and type it in
yourself! Over the years, he typed in programs he got from books and magazines and wrote his own as well, troubleshooting the bugs along the way. While working a part-time supermarket job in 1988, he saved enough
to buy his own IBM PC compatible computer, a Tandy 1000 SL... While in high school, he took every computer
class that was available to him. Going even further, he majored in Computer Science at
Western Connecticut State University beginning in 1990.  Though the Internet had technically been around for
decades before that, he remembers watching and being a part of the World Wide Web as it formed in the early
90s. He remembers being amazed by the ability to 'chat' and e-mailing a fellow college student in Mexico back
in 1991 and recalls the days when  you'd "surf the web" with just a green and black computer screen -
no sounds, no graphics, just boring text!

Throughout college, he was always the source of computer hardware and software-based questions, and upon
graduating in 1995, he figured why not do what he does best... Months later, North Wind Computer Solutions
was formed, by a small, 5 line ad in the Concord Monitor back in March of 1996.  Calls came in almost instantly,
and with that, he and drove to homes and small businesses in the Concord area, troubleshooting, upgrading,
and eventually started building his own line of computers and building websites.   His honesty and knowledge
made him quite a success helping Concord, NH area homes and businesses... Through the years he realized
that being self-employed, affordable health care was practically out of the question, along with retirement
benefits, so in January of 2001, he became fully employed by a local municipality doing what he loves best -
servicing users and computers.  At that point, North Wind Computer had become a part time venture - after
5:30 during the week and on weekends.

About Heidi (Clapp) Temple

Heidi Clapp received her BFA in Fine Art Photography from Syracuse University in 1991. In addition to studying photography, she had an intense fine art curriculum including painting, sculpture, videography, and
metalsmithing. After graduating she worked commercially as a product and portrait photographer. In addition,
she continued her work in the fine arts, creating mixed media art, jewelry, and experimental photography. She showcased and sold her work at various galleries and shops. In 1997 she took an interest in the field of computer generated imaging and began learning various photography and design programs. Learning this
technology gave her a lot of creative control over her art and she was able to create work digitally without the
limitations of traditional photography. She proceeded to gain work experience in pre-press, advertising, design,
web design, digital photography, and art direction.  She currently works as a freelance graphic designer and
digital imaging specialist. Please see our Graphic Design and Photo Imaging pages to see examples of her work.

A joining of talents...

In early 2002, Scott met his future wife, Heidi, a professional photographer and graphic designer. They
discovered that as well as perfect partners for life, they were perfect partners for the business!
She left her current job to partner with North Wind, offering her graphic, web design, and computer skills. As
a result, North Wind  Computer Solutions then became North Wind Computer and Design, a full time venture
for Heidi and part time one for Scott.

We hope you'll contact us to see how we can be of service to you!
